About the Missouri Naval Museum

Our Mission

The purpose of the Missouri Naval Museum is to establish an educational center and museum to teach the citizens of Missouri about the origins and history of the United States Navy and the contributions made by Missouri and her people to that history.

Both the museum and educational center will be located in Jefferson City, Missouri. The planned centerpiece will be two decommissioned naval ships, the USS Canon and the USS Trout, docked on the Missouri River and open to the public for tours.
